Our Logo: A Story of Triumph
This logo was commissioned for Yakoweshen Consulting to honor the mythological Greek goddess, Atalanta, who symbolizes “The Huntress.” She triumphed over abandonment by her father for not being born a son. Found by the she-bear, Artemis, and raised by hunters in the wild, she developed survival skills that made her strong, fearless, and fast on her feet. Her independent, heroic spirit led Atalanta to sail as the only woman among the Argonauts in search of the Golden Fleece.
Her expertise in archery was recognized with an invitation to the Calydonian boar hunt, traditionally reserved just for men. And she later outran all her male suitors in a footrace to win her hand in marriage—except for Hippomenes, who caught her with the help of Aphrodite throwing golden apples in her path.
Had the name ‘Atalanta’ not already been registered by another business, this consulting firm would have adopted it. The imagery speaks volumes, as Lynn Yakoweshen has worked in male-dominated industries and prevailed to rise to the top, earning respect and admiration by her peers and collegues for her courage and fortitude.
